This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in complex systems architecture and cross-functional engineering. They should be familiar with how to develop and solve problems in ways that scale with the growth of an organization. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience and the ability to lead and drive projects/solutions to completion., * Proven experience leading security engineering or cyber defense teams at scale, ideally in complex, distributed environments. * Deep understanding of modern security operations, detection engineering, and automation frameworks. * Strong technical background with experience in systems engineering, software development, or network architecture. * Expertise with tools and platforms such as: + Splunk, XSOAR, CrowdStrike, ExtraHop/Reveal(x), Netskope, Tenable + JIRA, GitLab, Ansible + Scripting proficiency in Python and/or PowerShell * Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive large-scale security initiatives. * Understanding of the SDLC and project management concepts * Working knowledge of Linux and Windows OSes required. * Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. * Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. ## Description The engineer is responsible for providing additional oversight of the security engineering function. They are expected to call out and highlight gaps/deficiencies and identify compensating controls that can be put in place by the broader team.
