## About the Role

* Strong enterprise network engineering experience.
 * Hands-on Palo Alto Networks firewall configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
 * Strong Cisco routing and switching experience.
 * Experience with VMware network virtualization / firewall solutions.
 * Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, LAN/WAN, and inter-VLAN routing.
 * CCNP or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
 * Recent experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments.
 * Must be able to work onsite in Waltham, MA 2 days/week.
 * Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.
 * Must be available for a face-to-face interview.

Preferred Skills / Certifications:

 * PCNSE

## Description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Palo Alto and Cisco enterprise networking. The ideal candidate will have recent experience supporting network infrastructure within the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
This is a hands-on role responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, switching, and network virtualization., * Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switches.

 * Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, threat prevention, and VPNs.
 * Administer Cisco routing and switching infrastructure across LAN/WAN environments.
 * Manage VLANs and inter-VLAN routing.
 * Implement and maintain VMware-based firewall and network virtualization solutions.
 * Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
 * Collaborate with IT and security teams on network architecture and compliance requirements.
 * Maintain network documentation, configurations, and SOPs.
 * Participate in network design reviews and capacity planning.
