## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information technology, computer information systems, MIS, or engineering is preferred. A combination of associate degree, military or professional cybersecurity experience and cybersecurity certification (CISSP, GAIC, MCSE, CEH, GICSP, CSSA, CISM) will be considered.
 * 2+ years in cyber security, * 5+ years in data engineering or database designs / architectures.
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CCSP, GAIC, MCSE, GICSP, CSSA)

Desirable skills include any of the following:

 * Active Directory Design and Management
 * Cloud, Azure, AWS, GCP
 * Scripting experience, PowerShell or .NET (VB or C#)
 * Security Operations Center (SOC)
 * Data security
 * Network Access Management, DNS, DHCP

## Description

* Establishes and implements appropriate standards and criteria for data security requirements
 * Design, develop, deploy and manage enterprise data security solutions including data loss prevention (DLP), data encryption, cloud data protection, as well as data security governance and compliance
 * In-depth understanding of DLP, Data Discovery, Classification, Encryption, Masking, Tagging and Governance
 * Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential data security threats, including third party cyber risk assessment
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy data protection measures and best practices
 * Provide expert guidance on data privacy management and risk mitigation techniques
 * Ensure KPIs related to data security are accurately tracked and reported
 * Monitor and respond to data security incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed
 * Regularly review data security policies and standards. Provide input and recommendations to address enhancements and adapt to changing regulations and industry best practices
 * Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams
