This role provides critical oversight and coordination during the design, advertisement, and pre-award stages while promoting consistent, high-quality project development. Through strong leadership and adherence to WSDOT policies and standards, this position helps advance safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation solutions for Washington communities. The work directly supports WSDOT's commitment to quality, safety, stewardship, and long-term transportation system resilience while fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace. What to Expect Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Design Support Supervisor will: * Lead and support the Design Support and Plans Review Team in the development and review of region construction projects. * Monitor Design-Bid-Build projects through the pre-advertisement, advertisement, and award phases. * Coordinate PS&E status reporting and facilitate project status meetings with teams and support groups. * Monitor procurement activities for Olympic Region Design-Build contracts. * Coordinate Design Documentation Packages and Plans for Approval (PFA) reviews and ensure required documentation is properly archived. * Support development of Specifications, Engineer's Estimates, and Special Provisions. * Provide technical guidance and training on PS&E preparation and Ad-Ready package development. * Maintain Region resources, including GSPs, the Special Provision Library, Ad-Ready Manual, and Review Roster., Applications for this recruitment will be accepted electronically.
