Preferred Qualifications: + Experience using client-side GraphQL tooling and applying GraphQL best practices, including data fetching, caching, error handling, and performance optimization. + Experience working on a platform team, building and supporting shared tools, frameworks, or services used by multiple product teams. + Demonstrated ability to evaluate and adopt evolving web standards and industry practices across frontend tooling, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS. ## Description The New York Times is searching for a Senior Software Engineer for the Web Platforms team to help us grow the platform that powers the presentation of content for web and mobile app webviews. We are accountable for improving the developer experience, performance, and resiliency of our web applications. Our primary technologies include React, Node, TypeScript, and GraphQL. We're looking for someone who values collaboration and learning with an interest in building web tooling for engineers across multiple product feature teams. You will report to our Engineering Manager Web Frameworks.
