Oversees the planning, development, implementation,and support of hospital information systems. Supervises analyst/project staff. Develops testing strategies according to system build and downstream system requirements. Oversees and assists the hospital with the development of a training plan. Ensures that systems are implemented and functioning under the guidance of acceptable University policies and procedures and meet all regulatory requirements, What You'll Do * + Develops and manages complex projects. + Recommends resource planning and support needs to ensure successful project implementation. + Oversees the design and development of application programs from analysis to implementation and assists with these duties as needed. + Coordinates the installation of software and/or hardware. Works in concert with other HST/IS&T Departments pertaining to the planning and implementation of systems to ensure that HST/IS&T standards are met. + Interacts with end users, vendors and other related participants to ensure proper testing, implementation and utilization of systems. + Provides input to the formulation of departmental policies and procedures. + Oversees the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to implementing and supporting systems. + Develops and manages program to deliver effective training to the user community and enhance proper system usage by users. + Participates on specific committees.
