Availability: Incumbents are subject to 24-hour call-back, evening, weekend, and holiday work. Minimum Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of full-time equivalent supervisory or higher-level management experience, within the last six (6) years, supporting multi-customer technology systems and solutions deployed in an enterprise environment. Qualifying experience must be equivalent to the level of management and supervisory experience of the Systems Support Supervisor classification in San Bernardino County. -AND- REQUIRED EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college level coursework from an accredited ** college or university in computer science, information technology, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field of study. A list of coursework or unofficial transcripts MUST be submitted if a degree has not been conferred. Substitution: Two (2) years of additionalqualifying experience may substitute for the required education. **Qualifying degrees and coursework must be conferred by institutions accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Degrees earned outside the United States must be accompanied by an evaluation from a recognized credential evaluation service verifying U.S. equivalency., * 5+ years of IT management experience * Completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology * IT leadership experience within a large public sector organization * Experience within a enterprise environment including applications, end points, and customer support * Experience with technology contracts and licensing ## Description The Innovation & Technology Department (ITD) is recruiting for a highly experienced and motivated IT Deputy Chief- Enterprise Infrastructure* to lead customer support services within the division. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational oversight of End User Support, the Service Desk, and 24x7 operational support services including onsite and remote support for multiple County departments and locations. This position is responsible for developing service delivery strategies that ensure reliable and responsive customer support, establishing consistent standards, procedures, and performance expectations to ensure support services remain aligned with County priorities and business needs, and assist in budget and service rate development., The Innovation and Technology Department is San Bernardino County's primary technology service provider entrusted with managing and safeguarding the County's enterprise mission critical systems and infrastructure.
