Strong experience with Java 8/11/17/21. Strong Spring Boot and Spring Framework experience. Strong experience developing Microservices and REST APIs. Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms. Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, Cassandra, MongoDB, or similar. Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures. Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD, and automated testing. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Preferred Skills Azure cloud experience. Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB. Experience with Redis. Experience with GraphQL. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with AKS or other cloud container platforms. Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tools. Knowledge of distributed systems and high-volume transaction processing. Previous Walmart, retail, marketplace, or e-commerce experience is a plus. ## Description We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend services and APIs supporting Walmart's large-scale e-commerce platform., Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices. Develop high-performance, reliable, and fault-tolerant applications. Work with Kafka for event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing. Design and work with NoSQL and relational databases. Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams. Participate in system design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support. Write unit and integration tests and maintain high code quality. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
