## About the Role

Master's degree in IT or equivalent through experience
Proven track record in a complex, challenging IT environment
Hands-on experience with Cisco networks, Fortinet, and Darktrace
In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, Layer 2/3 networking, .1x, and SDN
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; stress-resilient and structured approach
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
Willingness to undertake short international business trips

## Description

As a Security & Networking Engineer, you will take a pivotal role in ensuring that the company's network remains robust, secure, and future-ready. Working within a complex, dynamic IT landscape, you will monitor and troubleshoot network activity, implement state-of-the-art security principles, and devise innovative solutions to emerging technical challenges. Your responsibilities will include providing high-level technical support, collaborating across departments to drive innovation, and keeping the company's network up to date with the latest security standards. Navigating between day-to-day problem-solving and strategic improvements, you will play a central part in making network and end-user security a reality through layered security solutions. The role reports directly to the IT Infrastructure Manager and occasionally entails short international business trips.
