## Description

Health and Welfare Council of Long Island (HWCLI) seeks a Senior Technical Assistance Specialist to strengthen the capacity of agencies serving Long Island's vulnerable communities. In this mission-driven role, you will design and deliver technical assistance, training, and tools that enhance benefits access, disaster response, and anti-poverty programs. You will work closely with partner agencies, coalitions, and internal teams to assess needs, develop resources, and support implementation of best practices. Ideal candidates bring strong nonprofit program, facilitation, and community engagement experience and thrive in a collaborative, equity-focused environment. This is a hybrid position with field-based work across Long Island., * Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to partner agencies and community organizations across Long Island

 * Design and deliver trainings, workshops, and tools on benefits access, community engagement, and nonprofit best practices
 * Analyze community needs and program data to inform technical assistance strategies and improvements
 * Support implementation of public benefits, disaster response, and anti-poverty initiatives with local partners
 * Coordinate with internal teams to align technical assistance with HWCLI programs and advocacy priorities
 * Develop guidance materials, templates, and resources for agencies serving vulnerable residents
 * Facilitate coalition and stakeholder meetings to share best practices and address service gaps
 * Provide on-site and virtual support to agencies implementing new systems, policies, or programs
 * Prepare reports, documentation, and success stories for funders, leadership, and partners
 * Contribute to grant, compliance, and evaluation efforts related to technical assistance initiatives
