## About the Role

* Completed degree in computer science or talented newcomer
 * Enthusiasm for the topic of data engineering and software development
 * Experience in cloud, containerization and big data, ideally with MS Azure, Kubernetes and Spark
 * Experience with SQL
 * Experience with developing data pipelines (batch, streaming)
 * Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Scala, Java)
 * Knowledge of the software development cycle and its best practices (e.g. CI/CD, DevOps, testing)
 * Analytical skills, agile mindset, independence and hands-on mentality

## Description

* Develop and operate productive data pipelines for reports, analytics and machine learning and ensure their quality and future viability
 * Use your software development skills and set new standards for development and deployment
 * Optimize the performance of data engineering solutions and guarantee their scalability
 * Ensure data quality and consistency through data validation and cleansing
 * Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure to minimize downtime
 * Implement data security and privacy measures
 * Work in interdisciplinary agile teams with data scientists, data engineers, product owners and specialist departments
