Required Certifications * Active CompTIA Security+ certification (DoD 8570/8140 compliant) * Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required * Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred, * Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. * Minimum of 3 years of direct experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Government network environments. * 3â??6 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, operations, or infrastructure support roles preferred., * Experience supporting Army enterprise or tactical communications environments. * Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and STIG compliance. * Experience with SD-WAN technologies, particularly Versa Networks solutions. * Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud networking concepts. * Prior experience working within a NOC, SOC, or mission-critical operational environment. ## Description The primary function of the Resident Service Support Specialist (RS3) â?? Network Engineer is to provide onsite operational, engineering, and sustainment support for enterprise and tactical network infrastructures supporting U.S. Army mission requirements. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing network environments across classified and unclassified systems. The RS3 Network Engineer will support the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of network and cybersecurity technologies from vendors including Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Versa Networks, and other integrated security platforms.
