## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
 * Five or more years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience.
 * Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
 * Hands-on experience with vSAN and storage policy management.
 * Experience with NSX-T or NSX-V networking.
 * Strong PowerCLI scripting skills and experience with automation tooling.
 * Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms.
 * Strong understanding of disaster recovery patterns and SRM.
 * Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers.
 * Excellent communication and collaboration skills., * VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VCAP credentials.
 * Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, or GCVE.
 * Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
 * Experience with Aria Operations / vRealize Operations.
 * Exposure to migration programs out of VMware to alternative virtualization platforms.

## Description

We are looking for a Virtual Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization, software-defined networking, and software-defined storage platforms across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. The role covers vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Tanzu, with a focus on automation, capacity management, and the practical realities of operating a large VMware estate alongside modern cloud-native workloads. The ideal candidate has operated VMware platforms at enterprise scale, navigates the evolving VMware product landscape pragmatically, and brings strong automation and operations discipline.
