## About the Role

* 3+ years of experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar.

 * Conceptual knowledge and understanding of frameworks of a DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) approach.

 * Expert knowledge of Linux operating system fundamentals including experience with multiple distributions, building software from source, and Network attached filesystems.

 * Expert knowledge of one or more programming and scripting language . Shell scripting and Python are preferred.

 * Expert knowledge of on-premises and cloud native infrastructures.

 * Expert knowledge of navigating a TCP IP based environment.

 * Participate in a security first mindset.

 * Experience in a VMWare environment is a plus.

 * Experience with HPC systems like Grid Engine or Slurm is a plus

 * Good written communication skills

## Description

Join our Infrastructure team as a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer and help shape the secure, reliable, and high-performing systems that power our business. As a Linux subject matter expert, you will take ownership of complex enterprise environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure, using automation and modern engineering practices to improve resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency.  * Automate, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure using Ansible and other similar tools.

 * Build, implement, and support tools and services to maintain the reliability of our infrastructure and its services.

 * This consists of AWS native, open source, third party, and custom solutions.

 * Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate tasks and deploy infrastructure and applications in a consistent manner.

 * Write code, scripts, and contribute to shared codebases.

 * Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, test , and production environments.

 * Support user needs regarding compute and storage needs for High Performance Compute environments on prem and in the cloud.

 * Participate in planned maintenance, and unplanned outages, and incident.
