Preferred qualifications: + Experience with one or more third-party networking products (e.g., PANW, Fortinet, VMWare Cloud Foundation). + Experience in scalable networking design, including high availability, redundancy, failover, and load balancing. + Experience troubleshooting networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTP/S), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). + Experience in customer-facing migration, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations. + Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). + Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management. ## Description As a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Specialist, the role provides technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. This includes sharing best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated infrastructure and application provisioning, and cloud-ready architectures. The role also provides prescriptive guidance to ensure customers maximize the value of GCP throughout migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications, while collaborating closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive product excellence., + Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud networking solutions according to customer requirements and implementation best practices. + Work with customers to design and implement cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives. + Work with internal specialists, product, and engineering teams to package approaches, best practices, and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets. + Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.
