## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or another related field.
 * Curious, creative, and tenacious problem solver.
 * Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must be able to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
 * Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
 * CAD proficiency - PTC Creo, Solidworks, etc.
 * Knowledge and grasp of rapid prototyping techniques and manufacturing methods.
 * Strong mechanical aptitude.
 * Demonstrated history of design innovation.
 * Energetic and enthusiastic approach toward the definition of new products, complimented by an educated and realistic business outlook.
 * Competent in the design and development of plastic components.
 * This role may require up to 5% of travel, domestically. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.

## Description

* Develop products from conceptualization to launch.
 * Collaborates and consults with Test, Tooling, Manufacturing and Quality Engineers in support of new product development.
 * Interacts with Product Management as needed to assess new technology needs.
 * Leads or assists in efforts to resolve product performance issues.
 * Adheres to all safety regulations.
 * Demonstrates support of CPC core values.
 * Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
