## About the Role

This is a end bachelor or master internship (non-thesis) for minimum 5 months up to 12 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of January/February.

To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Management, Business Analytics, or a related technical field
Have practical experience with Python and/or SQL
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Take a proactive and collaborative approach to your work
Structure and document your work in a clear and organized manner
This internship is a great opportunity to learn how data, analytics, and AI can support assurance and advisory activities. You will gain experience translating business needs into technical solutions while developing a deeper understanding of governance, risk management, and business processes within ASML. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

## Description

Internal Audit at ASML helps strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls through assurance and advisory services. As part of its Internal Audit 2030 strategy, the team is expanding its Data & AI capabilities to improve audit quality, increase coverage, and work more efficiently. In this internship, you will help develop practical data-driven and AI-enabled solutions that support day-to-day audit activities. You will work with experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects at the intersection of technology, business processes, and risk. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills in a global technology company.
Your assignment
During this internship, you will help develop, test, and improve practical Data & AI solutions for Internal Audit. You will work on real business challenges and translate ideas into usable tools and insights. Together with the team, you will identify opportunities where analytics, automation, and AI can create value.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Identify audit activities that can be improved through automation and analytics
Build and test prototypes using Python, SQL, and AI-enabled technologies
Extract, prepare, and analyze data to generate actionable insights
Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reusable analytical solutions
Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
Document methodologies, assumptions, limitations, and user guidance
Present results, recommendations, and lessons learned to stakeholders
This internship will result in one or more tested solutions, clear documentation, and a final presentation with recommendations for future improvements. The internship provides hands-on experience with analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence in a business environment.
