## About the Role

* Established experience in Solutions Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Technical Consulting, or a similar role with a strong AWS focus.
 * Proven experience designing and delivering AWS cloud migration and modernisation projects.
 * Experience designing secure cloud environments using AWS security services and best practices, including IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and CloudTrail.
 * Knowledge of compliance and governance considerations within regulated environments.
 * Hands-on experience with containerised workloads and cloud-native deployment methodologies using EKS and/or ECS.
 * Experience supporting pre-sales activities, including solution design, technical proposals, and project scoping.
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
 * AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification (required).
 * AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification (preferred).
 * Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and Ireland.

 * Strong knowledge of AWS networking, including:

 * VPCs
 * Transit Gateway
 * Direct Connect
 * Routing and network security
 * Hybrid connectivity architectures

## Description

* Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
 * Lead discovery workshops and technical discussions to define cloud strategies and target architectures.
 * Design and deliver AWS-based solutions covering cloud migration, modernisation, networking, security, and platform transformation initiatives.
 * Support cloud migration programmes including workload assessments, migration planning, tooling configuration, and deployment activities.
 * Architect secure and compliant cloud environments, including landing zones, identity and access management, governance frameworks, and network architectures.
 * Advise on containerisation and modern application architectures using technologies such as Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, and serverless services.
 * Produce high-quality technical documentation, architecture diagrams, design decisions, implementation plans, and operational handover materials.
 * Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout project life cycles, providing guidance, identifying risks, and developing effective solutions.
 * Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of cloud best practices, frameworks, and reusable assets.
