## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
 * A minimum of 5-7 years' experience administering SQL environments
 * Strong understanding of SQL clustering, availability groups, and standalone architecture
 * Ability to work with teams to identify, troubleshoot and remediate a variety of SQL problems including locking/blocking, indexing issues, and capacity review/turning
 * Familiarity with Idera is a plus

## Description

As a Senior Database Administrator you'll have the opportunity to work across Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, tackle complex performance and security challenges, and influence the design of enterprise-class database environments.

What you'll do

 * Administer, design, develop, and deliver enterprise database solutions while owning day-to-day SQL environment operations.
 * Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance, including tuning and proactive issue resolution.
 * Partner with Infrastructure, Server, Storage, Networking, Security, and Applications teams on backup, recovery, and multi-year database strategy.
 * Plan, organize, and track functional tasks, projects, and project-based initiatives while ensuring timely delivery.
 * Monitor, track, and escalate database incidents through the Service Desk and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues.
