additional experience may be accepted in lieu of education or degree * Experience designing and developing secure applications and products * Experience with developing, configuring and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure or any other cloud platform * Preferred skills include: Java, Spring Boot, Rest API development, microservices architecture, SQL, Git/Github/Github Actions, Maven, SonarQube, Oracle, JUnit, TestNG, Datadog, OAuth 2.0, Docker, Kubernetes * Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar developer productivity tools preferred * Ability to use GenAI tools for code generation, code refactoring, debugging, test-case generation, documentation, and technical analysis is highly preferred * Experience applying AI to improve developer productivity, software quality, test automation, and application modernization preferred * Understanding of prompt engineering and the ability to provide effective context and instructions to AI coding assistants preferred * Ability to review, validate, test, and secure AI-generated code rather than relying on AI output without engineering review preferred * Familiarity with modern Generative AI concepts, LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and API-based AI integrations is a plus * Experience integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into enterprise applications or REST APIs is highly desirable * Ability to identify key issues and details, and present understandable alternatives to both technical and non-technical individuals * Ability to create and maintain technical documentation to support the testing, installation, operations, deployment and maintenance of products * Proven ability to effectively present data to facilitate understanding of findings * Ability to solve complex problems using analytical and creative problem-solving skills for design, development and testing of systems * Strong knowledge of prevailing technology trends, design patterns and ability to apply those as needed * Ability to interpret and analyze technology heatmaps and subsequently develop plans to remediate hardware/software nearing End of Life/End of Support * Competent at adhering to organizational processes and procedures including but not limited to scrum and various design artifacts * Knowledge of agile development methodologies * Life-long learner, process improver ## Description The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices architecture, SQL, and cloud technologies, along with a strong focus on engineering quality, automation, security, and continuous improvement. * Performs as a key contributor to an engineering team that builds and supports exceptional products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases, existing system and operational problems * Actively participates in architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software;
