The organization is actively moving more of its infrastructure into Azure and expanding its cloud footprint across both the East Coast and West Coast. As a result, the #1 requirement for this position is strong, hands-on Azure networking experience. The ideal candidate will have experience not only supporting Azure network environments, but also building and deploying Azure networking infrastructure using Terraform and reusable templates. This individual should be comfortable implementing infrastructure, troubleshooting complex connectivity issues, and supporting cloud expansion initiatives in a production enterprise environment. In addition to Azure, the engineer will support Zscaler secure access technologies and may assist with Cisco routing and switching, firewalls, Meraki, WAN connectivity, SCADA networking, and other enterprise network technologies. This is a hands-on engineering position requiring someone who can independently troubleshoot complex issues, implement infrastructure changes, lead assigned technical initiatives, and coordinate effectively across internal technology teams and external vendors., Microsoft Azure Networking & Cloud Expansion * Serve as a key engineering resource supporting the organization's continued migration and expansion into Microsoft Azure. * Configure, deploy, support, and troubleshoot Azure networking services, including: * Virtual Networks (VNets) * Subnets * Route Tables * Network Security Groups (NSGs) * VPN connectivity * Azure Virtual WAN * ExpressRoute * Azure Firewall * Hybrid cloud connectivity technologies * Support the continued expansion of Azure infrastructure across East Coast and West Coast environments. * Build and deploy Azure networking infrastructure using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and reusable templates. * Create, maintain, and enhance infrastructure templates to improve consistency, scalability, and repeatability across Azure environments. * Support connectivity between on-premises infrastructure, Azure environments, corporate locations, remote sites, and external services. * Participate in Azure regional expansion, cloud modernization, network resiliency, and disaster recovery initiatives. * Monitor Azure network health, connectivity, performance, and availability. * Troubleshoot complex Azure networking issues involving routing, VPNs, DNS, firewalls, hybrid connectivity, and application access. Zscaler & Secure Access * Configure, support, and troubleshoot Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). * Support ZIA web filtering, traffic forwarding, Internet access, security policies, and related configurations. * Support ZPA application access, application segments, server groups, and access policies. * Troubleshoot Zscaler Client Connector, authentication, application access, Internet access, and traffic forwarding issues. * Monitor Zscaler connectivity, performance, availability, and platform health. * Partner with Security, Endpoint, and Application teams to troubleshoot and resolve secure access issues. Enterprise Network Engineering & Operations * Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, VPN, DNS, firewall, WAN, cloud connectivity, and application access issues. * Implement network infrastructure changes using established configuration and change management processes. * Participate in network upgrades, migrations, platform expansion, lifecycle management, and vulnerability remediation initiatives. * Assist with Cisco routing and switching, firewalls, Meraki, WAN, SCADA networking, and other Network Engineering initiatives as needed. * Participate in incident response, problem management, root cause analysis, and outage resolution. * Provide technical escalation support to Network Engineer L1 and other operational support resources. * Participate in the Network Engineering on-call rotation and provide support for critical infrastructure incidents as required.
