This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master's and 4 years, bachelor's and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years. * Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2. Clearance Requirement: * All candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Poly at time of consideration. ## Description The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for Tier II /Configuration Management Network Technician to support the customer's computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; analyzing, organizing, and troubleshooting corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling. Expected to create detailed technical drawings or plans for IT networks, function as support developer and draft engineering designs and drawings from preliminary design concepts. This is an excellent opportunity to develop in one of Leidos key engineering organizations supporting deployment of new, innovative, and challenging technologies. The job duties of the Tier II /Configuration Management Network Technician are as follows: * Support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices. * Create and maintain an up-to-date record of all system components (hardware and software). Illustrate physical locations and links between each item. * Respond to and resolve incident tickets. * Establish and maintain consistency of a system or product performance, functions, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information. * Draft and implement standard network change requests. * Coordinate with external Configuration Management stakeholders across the ecosystem where required. * Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. (Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process). * Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience (CAT5, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP). * Develop policy for documenting and changing baseline project configuration items. * Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN's, Port Security, Thin Configs). * Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network while maintaining logs and records associated with reported problems or situations. * Familiar (doesn't need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE.
