Hands-on experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux systems. Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, user/account administration, and enterprise authentication. Experience installing, configuring, patching, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise systems. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting concepts. Experience supporting secure or classified information systems. Familiarity with DISA STIGs, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and DoD cybersecurity practices. Ability to develop and maintain clear technical documentation. Ability to work independently while supporting an integrated engineering team. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-support skills. An active Secret clearance or higher. CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD-approved certification strongly preferred, Previous federal or DoD experience. Previous federal networking administration or deployment experience. Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms. Experience with Cisco infrastructure and Cisco ISE. Familiarity with PKI, CAC authentication, certificates, and identity/access management. Experience supporting Zero Trust, Comply-to-Connect (C2C), or network access control implementations. Experience using DoD vulnerability management and compliance tools. Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, or other administrative scripting/automation tools. Experience supporting pilot-to-production transitions within federal environments. ## Description The Systems Administrator will work as part of an integrated technical team supporting the implementation and operational readiness of the SIPRNet pilot. The role requires strong Windows and/or Linux administration experience, familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, and the ability to troubleshoot systems and network-related issues in a controlled classified environment., Install, configure, administer, and maintain servers, workstations, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure within the federal networking pilot environment. Support system builds, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment activities. Perform user account administration, permissions management, system access control, and routine administrative functions. Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core enterprise services as applicable. Perform operating system updates, security patches, software installation, and configuration changes. Assist with implementation and validation of secure system baselines. Secure Networking Environment Support Provide hands-on technical support within classified federal environments. Assist with network workstation, server, and supporting infrastructure configuration and troubleshooting. Support connectivity validation and integration with network, security, identity, and authentication services. Follow applicable DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures. Support implementation and remediation of DISA STIG requirements. Assist with vulnerability remediation and preparation for security and operational readiness reviews. Troubleshooting & Tier 2/3 Support Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, application, authentication, and connectivity issues. Work closely with Network Administrators, Network Engineers, Architects, ISSOs, and other technical SMEs to isolate and resolve issues. Document technical issues, corrective actions, and lessons learned during pilot execution. Escalate complex issues to senior engineering and architecture resources as required. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate system configuration and asset information. Develop and update system administration procedures, configuration documentation, troubleshooting guides, and technical artifacts. Support test plans, implementation plans, deployment checklists, and after-action documentation.
