Two Saturdays per year to assist with commencement., Provides functional, analytical, and technical support for the Office of the Registrar by assisting with the administration and maintenance of the Student Information System (Banner) and related technologies. Supports the daily operations of the Office of the Registrar through system maintenance, report development, data validation, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and user support. Collaborates with campus partners and senior staff to implement university initiatives, maintain the integrity of student records, and improve business processes and operational efficiency, and provide guidance and supervision to assigned staff., Student Information Systems * Assist with the administration and maintenance of the Banner Student Information System and related technologies. * Perform functional testing for Banner upgrades, patches, and system enhancements under the direction of senior staff. * Assist with Banner configuration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting. * Support system maintenance activities to ensure accurate and efficient processing of student records. * Collaborate with the Office of Information Technology and campus partners on system implementations and enhancements., Reporting and Data Analysis * Develop and maintain routine operational reports using Argos, SQL, and other reporting tools. * Validate report accuracy and troubleshoot reporting issues. * Assist campus departments with reporting requests. * Support compliance reporting and data submissions. * Verify the accuracy and integrity of institutional data. Assist in validating institutional data used for operational, compliance, and regulatory reporting., Registrar Operations * Assist with registration, class schedule maintenance, grading, attendance, graduation, and official academic records. * Support tuition and course fee assessment and verification. * Process, maintain, and verify student academic records within Banner while ensuring data integrity and compliance with university policies. * Research and resolve routine student record issues. * Ensure compliance with office procedures and established academic policies. * Provide functional support to students, faculty, advisors, and staff regarding Registrar processes and student information systems., Technology Support * Assist with departmental software and hardware support. * Coordinate with Information Technology to resolve technical issues. * Support technology implementation and end-user troubleshooting. * Assist with software implementation and testing. * Provide first-level support for Registrar technology issues., Compliance and Data Security * Maintain confidentiality of student education records in accordance with FERPA. * Assist with institutional compliance reporting, including NCAA, state, and federal reporting requirements. * Support user security administration and access management for Registrar systems. * Maintain the integrity and security of student information., Business Process Improvement * Identify opportunities to improve Registrar processes and workflows. * Assist senior staff in testing new processes and system enhancements. * Participate in process improvement initiatives. * Assist in identifying system issues and recommending process improvements. * Participates in university committees and project teams as assigned., Documentation * Develop, maintain, and update procedural documentation, workflow diagrams, operating procedures, user guides, and training materials. * Update documentation to reflect changes in systems, university policies, and business processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervision * Supervise assigned student employees, and graduate assistants. * Assign, monitor, and evaluate work to ensure timely completion of departmental responsibilities. * Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluations. * Foster staff development through training, cross-training, and continuous feedback. * Promote a collaborative and customer-focused work environment., Rules Compliance is a central element in personnel matters for employees within the Department of Athletics and for those employees outside the Department of Athletics who are involved in NCAA rules compliance activities. These individuals must comply with all NCAA rules on compliance and will be evaluated on that basis.
