## About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering to join our team in Jessup, MD! The ideal candidate has an interest in database technologies and Oracle, software engineering best practices, and real-world application development. This opportunity offers hands-on experience working with enterprise systems in a collaborative engineering environment. The position will be a hybrid schedule, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and independent work from home., * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

 * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
 * Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
 * Advanced understanding of programming concepts in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.
 * Experience with relational database concepts (tables, joins, indexes, etc.).
 * Strong understanding of Oracle tools, SQL, and database development.
 * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
 * Ability to communicate and collaborate in a team setting.

Desired:

 * Projects involving SQL or database design.
 * Experience with version control (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
 * Deep understanding of software development life cycle concepts.
 * Interest in cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, AWS).

## Description

* Lead in the design, development, and maintenance of applications that interact with Oracle databases.
 * Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
 * Lead database-related development tasks, data validation, and troubleshooting.
 * Participate in code reviews, sprint planning sessions, and other Agile team ceremonies.
 * Help document technical processes, system behavior, and application workflows.
 * Lead testing, debugging, and quality assurance efforts.
 * Work closely with the engineering team to understand system architecture and implementation details.
