You're able to manage multiple, often competing, priorities effectively. * Cross-Functional Communication: You act as the bridge between diverse internal teams. You excel at translating complex requirements into shared goals; collaborating with Marketers on attribution, aligning with Finance on reconciliation, and partnering with Security on risk, ensuring everyone moves in the same direction. * Outcome Orientation: You measure success by business impact (e.g., "reduced fraud by 10%," "improved payout speed by 20%"), not just by the number of features shipped. * AI Fluency: You've experimented with AI tools in your own work -- whether for analysis, workflow automation, or product experimentation -- and you're motivated to go deeper. You understand AI well enough to evaluate what to build, buy, or prompt. * Stakeholder Empathy: You view internal teams as your customers. You are skilled at saying "no/not now" to low-value requests to focus on the initiatives that truly move the needle for the company. * Technical Depth: You think in systems. You understand integrations, data flows, and platform architecture well enough to spot bad estimates, ask the right questions, and push back when a proposed solution won't scale. * Data-Driven Approach: You are data-informed, using insights to guide your decisions. Experience with event-based analytics tools such as Mixpanel or Amplitude is a big plus. ## Description Join us in empowering students unlock their potential through a safe, online, rental experience. We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to build the engines that power HousingAnywhere's growth. In this role, you will treat our core business capabilities - from financial infrastructure to marketing technology - as high-value products. You will bridge the gap between technical complexity and business strategy, ensuring that our internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Sales, Trust & Safety) have the scalable tools they need to succeed. You aren't just maintaining "backend systems"; you are defining the product vision for how money moves, how risk is managed, and how our teams operate efficiently across our multi-brand ecosystem. You will shape how AI enters our internal operations -- from document intelligence to risk automation -- turning emerging capabilities into durable platform advantage. Your role and impact * Commercial & Admin Enablement: Manage our internal Admin Panel and other tooling as a core product. You will build new workflows and tools that Sales and Managed Accounts teams use daily, exploring where AI-assisted workflows can reduce manual effort, and optimizing them for speed and ease of use to support high-volume operations. * Growth, Marketing & CRM Infrastructure: Partner with the Marketing teams to treat our customer lifecycle stack as a product. You will define the roadmap for attribution, affiliate networks, and CRM integrations, ensuring we have the technical capability to scale user acquisition profitably and manage customer relationships effectively. * Data & Infrastructure Foundation: Collaborate with Engineering to ensure our platform infrastructure and data pipelines are robust. You ensure our data pipelines are clean, accurate, and structured to power both operational decision-making and the AI models that depend on them. * Financial Infrastructure: Own the domain of Payments & Payouts. You will ensure compliant, scalable money flows (pay-ins/pay-outs/billing) and build the tools our Finance Ops team needs for reconciliation. You will drive our move toward AI-powered KYC/KYB processes, reducing manual review while ensuring regulatory compliance across markets. * Trust, Safety & Risk: Champion the strategy for platform integrity. You will determine the right product balance between high security (2FA, verification, anti-fraud) and low friction, protecting our users and brand reputation without hurting conversion rates. You will work with Engineering to deploy risk-scoring models that detect fraudulent activity at scale. ## Related Videos - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Stop Renaming Teams, Start Product Thinking: A PM's Guide to Platform-as-a-Product](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100342-stop-renaming-teams-start-product-thinking-a-pm-s-guide-to-platform-as-a-product) - [Launching a marketplace on-time: A lesson in taking shortcuts using spreadsheets!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/477-launching-a-marketplace-on-time-a-lesson-in-taking-shortcuts-using-spreadsheets) - [Marketing x Product: How We Stopped Gaslighting Each Other and Built AI Products That Actually Work](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100244-marketing-x-product-how-we-stopped-gaslighting-each-other-and-built-ai-products-that-actually-work) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) - [How to Monetize Your APIs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/749-how-to-monetize-your-apis) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [MLOps – What’s the deal behind it?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/125-mlops-what-s-the-deal-behind-it) - [The Biggest German Tech Companies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/424-the-biggest-german-tech-companies) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Find a Developer Job: 12 Best Job Sites For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/165-find-a-developer-job-12-best-job-sites-for-developers)
