Boulder is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and only 25 miles from downtown Denver. Position Overview: As a Staff Systems Engineer - Level 5 you will be developing and sustaining systems using current technologies and others yet to come. The Advanced Programs (AP) organization pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in mathematics. Our team is chartered with providing innovative technologies to develop, design, and produce optimized product lines across multiple customers while providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter. Essential Functions: The selected candidate will be the point of contact for aspects of systems engineering with a focus on managing and leading agile processes for the program. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: * Implement and manage Agile practices for two AP programs * Plan, coordinate, lead program increments for two AP programs * Manage workflows 1) within teams, 2) between teams, and 3) across work centers using Jira Scrum and Kanban boards * Keep Jira compliant to customer's requirements of mapping SOW tasks to Jira Epics and stories at each PI boundary and maintain that rhythm within each PI to enable technical progress visibility to customer * Increase throughput by identifying constraints, mitigate dependencies causing bottlenecks, and reducing wait time * Identify opportunities to standardize recurring processes * Schedule and lead formal program increment (PI) planning and backlog review events.
