The Employment Training Panel (ETP) is seeking an experienced and innovative Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) to serve as the Network Security Engineer for our Sacramento headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity to lead enterprise security initiatives, strengthen the Department's cybersecurity posture, and implement modern network and security solutions that support programs benefiting California's workforce and economy. Under the general direction of the Information Technology (IT) Manager I, the ITS II serves as the technical lead for the design, implementation, administration, and support of the Department's enterprise network infrastructure and cybersecurity environment. This position is responsible for securing and maintaining critical network and security technologies, leading complex technical projects, responding to cybersecurity incidents, and recommending innovative solutions that strengthen the Department's security posture and technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with technical staff, executive leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to implement secure, reliable, and resilient technology solutions that support the Department's mission.
