The successful candidate will work across the platform, designing, configuring and delivering ServiceNow capabilities that improve the employee experience and strengthen internal service delivery. Working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Engineering Managers and Technical Programme Managers, the engineer will contribute across multiple ServiceNow product areas including Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), Legal Service Delivery (LSD), IT Service Management (ITSM), Now Assist and other platform capabilities. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering scalable, maintainable platform solutions while contributing to engineering quality, platform stability and continuous improvement across the ServiceNow ecosystem., Platform Engineering * Design, configure and develop capabilities across the ServiceNow platform. * Deliver enhancements across multiple ServiceNow products and modules. * Build scalable, maintainable platform solutions using standard ServiceNow capabilities. * Promote configuration over customisation wherever possible. * Contribute to continuous platform evolution and engineering excellence. Solution Delivery * Deliver engineering work from prioritised product backlogs. * Collaborate with Product Managers and Business Analysts to understand business requirements. * Build high-quality technical solutions aligned with engineering standards. * Participate in sprint planning, estimation and backlog refinement. * Deliver platform capabilities that improve employee and operational experiences. Platform Development * Configure workflows, forms, business rules, catalog items and automations. * Develop integrations where required using standard platform capabilities. * Support implementation across multiple ServiceNow modules. * Maintain reusable platform components. * Ensure platform solutions remain scalable and supportable. Engineering Quality * Participate in peer reviews and technical design discussions. * Produce clean, maintainable and well-documented code. * Contribute to engineering standards and best practices. * Support testing and defect resolution activities. * Ensure delivered solutions meet quality and security expectations. Platform Support and Optimisation * Investigate and resolve platform defects. * Support platform upgrades and releases. * Reduce technical debt through continuous improvement. * Optimise existing platform capabilities. * Improve platform reliability and maintainability. Collaboration * Partner with Architects to implement scalable technical solutions. * Work closely with Quality Assurance Engineers throughout delivery. * Collaborate with Technical Programme Managers on delivery planning. * Support Product Managers during discovery and solution design. * Share knowledge across the wider engineering community. Continuous Improvement * Identify opportunities to simplify engineering approaches. * Improve platform performance and operational efficiency. * Support adoption of new ServiceNow capabilities. * Contribute to engineering documentation. * Promote reusable technical patterns across the platform., * ServiceNow Certified System Administrator. * ServiceNow Certified Application Developer. * Workplace Service Delivery (WSD). * IT Service Management (ITSM). * Legal Service Delivery (LSD). * Employee Centre Pro. * IntegrationHub. * Now Assist. * ITIL Foundation. * Experience working within enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments., * Review current engineering backlog. * Familiarise with platform standards and engineering practices. * Begin delivery of priority engineering work. * Establish effective collaboration across Product and Engineering teams. Months 2-4 - Deliver Platform Capabilities * Deliver engineering work across multiple ServiceNow products. * Improve platform quality and maintainability. * Support priority business initiatives. * Contribute to platform improvements and technical debt reduction. * Collaborate on cross-platform engineering initiatives.
