## About the Role

* A good degree (1st or 2.1 from a highly-ranked university) in maths, computer science, physics or similar
 * Experience of computer vision and machine learning techniques (this could be within a commercial setting or research)
 * Python programming skills
 * Understanding of remote sensing drones / UAVs
 * Ability to work within a small team, displaying a collaborative and confident approach to work

## Description

A research team wishes to recruit a Computer Vision Researcher to join them on a two-year fixed-term contract to build a new capability for a company working in transport services. Working with the support of an academic team, the successful Computer Vision Researcher will help to develop an intelligent vision system which uses drone imaging to examine plant growth. The CV Researcher will explore various machine learning approaches, both traditional and CNNs, to build models that incorporate weather and seasonal changes.

The successful candidate will be employed by the university but work full-time as part of the company's team with the ongoing support of university academics for the research aspects.

This is a super opportunity to be involved in innovative work within this fast-moving area, bringing your knowledge of computer vision and machine learning. You will work with experts in satellite / UAV remote sensing, and machine learning applications in agriculture and the environment.
