## About the Role

A friendly and rapidly expanding start-up company seeks a Software Manager with a strong background in the successful delivery of projects using Agile (Scrum / Kanban) methodology, to play an important role in the integration of software into their new instrumentation. The right candidate will have a thorough understanding of the full software development lifecycle and will enjoy dividing their time between getting involved with technical challenges and people management., Previous experience developing scientific instrumentation would be beneficial but isn't a necessity to be considered for this role.

You will need:

 * A solid background in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) software delivery and project management.
 * Proven leadership skills, including managing talented software engineers in a matrix environment.
 * To enjoy the fast pace of a start-up atmosphere and be able to show previous success delivering projects in similar situations.
 * An impressive academic record, including a good degree (2.1 or above) in a relevant technical discipline such as Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
 * Full rights to work in the UK without time limit or sponsorship.

The company offers a friendly working atmosphere at their modern Cambridge offices, where remote working is available on an ad hoc, flexible basis.
