## About the Role

* Associate degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, information systems, business, communications, or a related field, or an additional two or more years of relevant experience in place of the degree requirement.

 * At least 10 years of relevant experience aligned to the responsibilities of this position.

 * Expert knowledge of enterprise security architecture and Zero Trust concepts.

 * Experience designing security solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.

 * Knowledge of identity, endpoint, network, application, data, and monitoring security architectures.

 * Ability to translate cybersecurity policy and requirements into technical designs.

 * CompTIA Security+ certification.

 * GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP) certification.

 * Ability to obtain and maintain the required federal background investigation, Public Trust determination, or security clearance associated with the position.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience leading Zero Trust programs in federal environments.

 * Familiarity with federal Zero Trust guidance and architecture models.

 * Experience supporting HHS, NIH, or another federal civilian agency.

Physical Requirements

 * Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer.

 * Ability to communicate effectively through virtual and in-person meetings.

 * Ability to perform duties in an office, remote, or hybrid environment based on program requirements.

## Description

* Lead development and refinement of enterprise security architectures.

 * Define security architecture patterns, standards, and technical requirements.

 * Lead Zero Trust architecture planning and implementation activities.

 * Assess existing environments and identify gaps against target security architecture.

 * Develop roadmaps for identity, device, network, application, data, and visibility improvements.

 * Review proposed technologies and system designs for security architecture alignment.

 * Provide security engineering guidance for cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and third-party environments.

 * Support architecture review boards and technical governance processes.

 * Translate federal cybersecurity requirements into technical architecture.

 * Advise leadership on cybersecurity modernization strategies.
