## About the Role

The ideal candidate will combine strong ETL and data engineering capabilities with hands-on experience in dbt, Snowflake, SQL, and data mapping. The consultant must be able to understand business and technical requirements, interpret the target-state data model, analyze source data structures and tables, develop source-to-target mappings, and build dbt-based ETL pipelines from those mappings., * 3+ years of ETL, ELT, or data engineering experience.

 * 1+ year of hands-on dbt experience developing and maintaining data models and pipelines.
 * 1+ year of Python programming experience.
 * Hands-on Snowflake experience.
 * Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
 * Ability to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into implementable data solutions.
 * Experience interpreting target-state data models and analyzing source data structures, schemas, and tables.
 * Experience developing detailed source-to-target mappings.
 * Ability to build and test dbt-based ETL pipelines from approved mappings.
 * Experience mapping transactional data into Snowflake and downstream analytical or operational models.
 * Experience with data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality controls.
 * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
 * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

 * Experience with Encompass or a comparable mortgage or banking application.
 * Experience working with mortgage lending, banking, or financial services data.

## Description

The consultant will partner closely with senior data engineers, platform engineers, business systems analysts, reporting teams, and other technology stakeholders.
