We are seeking an Energy Data Scientist with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, enjoys working with large datasets, and is passionate about energy efficiency and sustainability. You'll work closely with senior consultants and clients to analyze utility program data, develop predictive models, and generate actionable insights that shape energy policy and program design., * Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, economics, statistics, environmental policy, or related field. * 3-5 years of experience in data science, ideally within energy efficiency, utilities, or sustainability. * Must be able to pass a coding test in Python, or R to write a code to clean an energy data set and build a regression model to fit the data. * Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages. * Experience with regression, classification, and time-series modeling (e.g., RF, SVM, LR). * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VBA knowledge is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to clean, manipulate, and analyze large datasets (500,000+ records). * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Interest in energy policy, building science, or sustainability. Preferred: * Experience with energy efficiency program evaluation or DSM analytics. * Familiarity with IoT data and API integration. * Knowledge of TRMs, M&V protocols, or building energy modeling tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, OpenStudio). * Experience with SAS, Stata, or other statistical packages.
