## Description

Watson College is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to provide technical support of our Academic and Research computing needs. This includes supporting faculty, staff and student systems in offices and labs as well as assisting in management of data centers, maintenance of virtualization infrastructure, high-performance computing clusters, and storage systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, documentation, and optimization of computing environments that support academic and research initiatives., Computing (HPC) Cluster Support Assist with management of cluster user accounts, including creation, removal, and group management.Monitor daily cluster operations and coordinate updates and patches to minimize impact.Coordinate with faculty to integrate new computing nodes and obtain vendor quotes.Gather, monitor, and incorporate HPC users' feedback to improve ease of use and support for diverse user requirements.Physical and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Administration Secondary support point of contact for faculty, staff and student client systemsAssist with maintaining Watson College Academic computing labsPhysical and Virtual deploymentsAssist in supporting the Watson College's VDI environment (Watson View).Assist with developing and maintaining administrative documentation and provide recommendations for improvements.General Responsibilities Provide backup support during staff absences or emergencies.Offer technical assistance to the University Helpdesk for Watson-related
