## Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Joint Fires Network Engineer to support a company focused on mission-critical defense communications and global network operations within the Department of Defense sector. This position is on-site at Scott AFB, IL. The Joint Fires Network Engineer will support 24x7 global operations by configuring, monitoring, and restoring secure network services across complex transport and IP infrastructures. Play a direct role in ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for national defense missions worldwide., * Execute network operations including configuration, monitoring, and analysis of circuits across routers, switches, and optical transport systems

 * Perform real-time circuit rerouting and network restoration during outages and maintenance events
 * Collaborate with internal teams, government stakeholders, and engineering tiers to ensure maximum network availability
 * Monitor and troubleshoot network alarms using platform-specific tools and resolve incidents through full lifecycle management
 * Support change management activities including hardware replacements, software updates, and configuration adjustments
