## About the Role

* 3-5 years managing enterprise RedHat Linux environments (RHEL 8/9 preferred)
 * Strong scripting ability in Shell, Python, or similar languages
 * Experience with LDAP and VMware virtualization
 * Hands-on hardware maintenance experience and ability to lift 50 lbs
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Experience with cloud-hosted Linux servers
 * Knowledge of Kickstart and configuration management tools (Puppet preferred)
 * Experience with FlexLm license management or revision control systems
 * Advanced troubleshooting skills and a strong focus on continuous improvement
 * Project management experience

## Description

* Deliver high-quality Linux compute support for engineering design teams
 * Provide technical direction and escalation for technologies in the Linux compute space
 * Automate system builds, configuration management, and operational tasks
 * Provision physical and virtual systems and maintain hardware as needed
 * Monitor and improve the overall health, performance, and reliability of Unix/Linux environments
