Experience with Vue 3 and Nuxt is a real advantage. If you come from React or Angular and you are keen to work in Vue and Nuxt, we would like to talk to you. * You care about the person on the other side of the screen. Accessibility, performance, and clear error and loading states are how you define a finished feature, not extras you add if there is time. * You work well with designers, backend developers and product owners. You can explain a technical trade-off in plain language and you ask questions early rather than guessing. * You are comfortable owning your work in production: reading dashboards and logs, investigating an incident, fixing the cause rather than the symptom. * You are curious and pragmatic. You weigh a new dependency against its maintenance cost and its effect on bundle size, and you recognise when the simple solution is the right one. Nice to have: * GraphQL * Working in a large shared codebase * GitHub Actions * Building with a design system or hybrid app * Development with Capacitor ## Description * As a Frontend Engineer at Jumbo you build the screens millions of people use to do their groceries every week, on jumbo.com and in the Jumbo app. You work in Vue 3, Nuxt and TypeScript, and you take your work all the way to production. * You will work in a multidisciplinary scrum team, collaborating with developers, product owners, UX designers, and key stakeholders. You own outcomes, not just your individual tasks, and you proactively support your colleagues to deliver robust features, end to end. * You will help build and operate reliable, accessible interfaces used by millions of customers on jumbo.com and in the Jumbo app. Fast, dependable and inclusive experiences lead to seamless shopping journeys, stronger customer trust and greater commercial impact. * You collaborate closely with fellow engineers within your scrum team, as well as with product owners, UX designers, and business stakeholders. In addition, you align with other engineering teams and platform teams to ensure consistency, scalability, and reusability across the landscape. Together, you build solutions that fit both technical and business goals and contribute to Jumbo's digital growth., Grocery shopping may seem simple, but behind a seamless online shopping experience lies a complex frontend challenge. Customers build their baskets across multiple sessions, on different devices and under a wide range of circumstances. Meanwhile, prices and promotions change, delivery slots fill up, and customers expect everything to be accurate and responsive at all times. As a Frontend Engineer at Jumbo, you help make that experience a reality. You build customer-facing features in Vue 3, Nuxt, and TypeScript, taking them from the first design concepts all the way through to production. The components you create are used across both jumbo.com and the Jumbo app, enabling a consistent experience through a shared codebase. You work closely with UX designers, product owners, and backend engineers to deliver user-friendly, reliable, and scalable solutions. Quality is at the heart of what you do: you thoroughly test your work, ensure accessibility in line with WCAG 2.2 AA standards, and continuously optimize performance for the devices our customers actually use. Because you take ownership of the full lifecycle of your work, your involvement does not stop after release. You monitor the performance of your features in production, help investigate incidents, and continuously improve the customer experience. Along the way, you contribute to Jumbo's frontend community by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and helping to raise the bar for engineering excellence across the team.
