## About the Role

You don't need to be an experienced 2nd Line Engineer.

We're looking for someone with a good foundation in IT support who enjoys troubleshooting problems, working with customers and learning new technologies.

Ideally, you'll have some experience with:

 * 1st Line IT Support / Service Desk / Helpdesk
 * Windows and Microsoft environments
 * Hardware and software troubleshooting
 * Remote customer support
 * Helpdesk or ticketing systems
 * Basic networking

Any exposure to Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, databases, VoIP/SIP or communications technology would be beneficial, but isn't essential.

## Description

We're looking for an IT Support Technician to join a customer-focused technical team, providing first-line support for a specialist software and technology platform.

You'll be one of the first points of contact for customers, helping diagnose and resolve technical issues over the phone, online and through remote support tools.

Alongside day-to-day support, you'll have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge across Microsoft environments, Azure, servers, databases and communications technology, while getting involved in installations, product testing and customer projects.

What You'll Be Doing

 * Providing first-line technical support to customers by telephone and online
 * Logging and managing customer issues through the helpdesk
 * Troubleshooting issues remotely using support tools such as TeamViewer
 * Helping configure, maintain and test hardware and software
 * Supporting Microsoft-based environments
 * Gaining exposure to Azure deployment and maintenance
 * Supporting customer installations
 * Assisting with planned and reactive customer site visits when required
 * Supporting internal IT and demonstration systems
 * Testing products and providing technical feedback
 * Working with wider technical and software development teams
 * Getting involved in customer demonstrations and technical projects

As your technical and product knowledge develops, there is also scope to take greater ownership of customer projects within the wider Project Management team.
