## About the Role

You'll be an experienced Infrastructure/3rd Line Engineer with a strong technical background across a broad infrastructure estate.

Ideally, you'll have experience across:

 * Cloud and on-premise infrastructure
 * Windows Server environments
 * Networking - LAN/WAN, wireless and security
 * Virtualisation
 * Storage and server infrastructure
 * Infrastructure automation/Scripting
 * Infrastructure as Code
 * Monitoring, performance and capacity management
 * Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity
 * ITIL/IT Service Management

You'll also need strong communication skills and be comfortable working with technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers and third parties.

## Description

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys getting hands-on across both cloud and on-premise environments, while also helping to improve, automate and modernise infrastructure?

We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established organisation and play a key role across its core IT infrastructure.

This is much more than a traditional BAU support position. You'll act as a senior technical escalation point while contributing to infrastructure design, automation, service improvement and project delivery.
What you'll be doing

 * Providing 3rd line infrastructure support across a complex IT environment
 * Supporting and maintaining cloud and on-premise infrastructure
 * Working across Servers, networking, storage, virtualisation and core infrastructure services
 * Supporting LAN, WAN, wireless and wider network infrastructure
 * Driving automation across deployments, virtual machines and day-to-day infrastructure processes
 * Contributing to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives
 * Designing and implementing new and improved infrastructure solutions
 * Monitoring system performance, availability and capacity
 * Supporting infrastructure projects, upgrades and improvements
 * Contributing to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
 * Working within an ITIL/ITSM environment, ensuring SLAs and service standards are maintained
 * Producing and maintaining technical documentation
