Experience performing infrared (IR) thermography and identifying electrical and thermal anomalies. * Commissioning & Testing: Experience supporting electrical commissioning, load bank testing, rack burn-in, energization, and functional performance testing. Ability to coordinate with mechanical, liquid cooling, controls, and structured cabling teams during data center deployments. * Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Ability to respond to electrical alarms, breaker trips, UPS events, generator failovers, and power distribution abnormalities. Experience supporting root-cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions, and emergency response in mission-critical environments. * Safety & Operational Procedures: Working knowledge of electrical safety practices, lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc-flash hazards, switching procedures, preventive maintenance, and mission-critical facility operating procedures. ## Description The Supermicro Data Center team is seeking an Data Center Electrical Engineer to maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize critical electrical infrastructure supporting high-density AI/ML compute environments across our AI next-generation data center facilities. This role focuses on ensuring 100% uptime for mission-critical liquid-cooled and air-cooled GPU clusters, high-density server racks (50kW-240kW+ per rack), medium/low-voltage power distribution systems, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, main switchgear, and standby generators., * Operations & Maintenance: Inspect, service, and maintain UPS systems, main switchgear, isolation transformers, ATS, diesel generators, PDUs, RPPs, and overhead busways. * AI Rack Provisioning: Execute circuit provisioning, manage whip runs, smart PDU installations, and phase balancing for high-density GPU racks ( per rack). * Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with mechanical, liquid cooling, and cabling teams during rack commissioning, burn-in, and load bank testing. * Monitoring & Diagnostics: Track EPMS, SCADA, and BMS telemetry for alarms, transient spikes, THD, and phase load variances.
