 * 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
 * Strong experience developing applications with Java within the last two years.
 * Hands-on experience building microservices and APIs using Spring Boot.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Devin, or Cursor.
 * Experience developing enterprise-scale applications in a financial services or banking environment.
 * Full stack development experience across both backend and frontend technologies.
 * Experience with application configuration, workflow automation, and complex business rules implementation.
 * Familiarity with mortgage lending, servicing, or home lending platforms.

## Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer (Full Stack Java) to join a Home Lending technology team responsible for enhancing and modernizing a mission-critical mortgage servicing platform. This role will support the continued development of an existing application focused on early mortgage resolution and customer assistance initiatives.

As a member of an Agile Scrum team, you will design, develop, and implement scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency through automation, configuration, and emerging AI-powered capabilities. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product partners, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions while helping broaden technical knowledge across the team.
Responsibilities

 * Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications using Java-based technologies.
 * Build and enhance scalable APIs and backend services using Spring Boot.
 * Develop solutions that improve business processes through automation and workflow optimization.
 * Contribute to the design and implementation of AI-driven features and decisioning capabilities.
 * Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while continuously improving application performance and reliability.
 * Promote engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and maintainability.
