Azure DBA Responsibilities: * Administer and support Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs. * Manage Azure SQL Managed Instance environments, including databases, security, connectivity, monitoring, backup/restore, and HA/DR. * Perform SQL Server-to-Azure migrations using appropriate migration approaches and tools. * Manage Azure SQL security Microsoft Entra users/groups, SQL logins/users, TDE and encryption, Azure Storage Accounts * Microsoft Entra authentication and authorization experience is important for Azure SQL environments. * Monitor Azure SQL performance using Azure Monitor, Query Store, DMVs, alerts, and diagnostic logs. * Work with Azure Backup, automated backups, point-in-time restore, and long-term retention where applicable. * Support Azure SQL MI HA/DR and failover scenarios. * Use Azure Portal, Azure CLI and PowerShell for administration and automation.
