They take what the client's leadership actually needs and shape it into a prioritized, well-defined scope the delivery team can execute against. They sit between the CIO's office and our Snowflake and Power BI work as a strategic partner - not a pass-through for tickets., * Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols * Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets * Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) * Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information, * Define the use cases: Get in the room with client stakeholders, uncover the decisions each report needs to drive, and lock down the use case before anything hits the backlog * Prioritize ruthlessly: Sequence the 13+ dashboards and the underlying data remediation by business value. * Write requirements that hold up: Produce clear, testable business requirements. No dashboard ships without a named owner, a defined purpose, a descriptive title, and a consistent layout * Own quality, end to end: Catch any broken reports immediately * Stakeholder management: Engage the CIO and business stakeholders directly. * Partner with delivery: Work hand in hand, day to day, with the Snowflake remediation and Power BI teams, holding the line on scope and standards ## Related Videos - [Beyond Dashboards: Fixing Text-to-SQL with Semantic RAG](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2036-beyond-dashboards-fixing-text-to-sql-with-semantic-rag) - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [Alibaba Big Data and Machine Learning Technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/37-alibaba-big-data-and-machine-learning-technology) - [How Cisco embraced a DevOps culture within its network engineering team](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/99-how-cisco-embraced-a-devops-culture-within-its-network-engineering-team) - [Swapping a Data Warehouse at Runtime: Zero-Downtime Migration Without Changing a Single Client](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100311-swapping-a-data-warehouse-at-runtime-zero-downtime-migration-without-changing-a-single-client) - [Enjoying SQL data pipelines with dbt](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/823-enjoying-sql-data-pipelines-with-dbt) ## Related Articles - [Making Data Warehouses Fast: A Developer’s Story](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/107-making-data-warehouses-fast-a-developer-s-story) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Events like RSAC Get You CISOs.
