We are seeking a seasoned engineer who thrives in high-stakes migration environments. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle-from bare-metal cluster deployment to the final weekend cutover of critical application servers. Our mantra is "automate everything" ; we need an engineer who treats manual clicks as a failure state., * Azure Local Deployment: Architect and deploy Azure Local clusters, ensuring proper integration with Azure Arc, identity management, and hybrid networking. * Network & Security Configuration: Configure VLANs, subnets, routing, and firewall policies to facilitate seamless outbound/inbound connectivity for cluster registration, storage replication, and tenant workloads. * Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and maintain Terraform modules to automate the provisioning of Azure Local resources, virtual networks, and guest OS configurations. (PowerShell/Bicep scripting is also highly valued). * Migration Execution (The "Lift & Shift"): Plan and execute the migration of application servers, SQL databases, and legacy VMs from vSphere to the new Azure Local environment. * Weekend Cutover Leadership: This role requires active availability during scheduled weekend maintenance windows. You will be the technical lead during these periods, executing final syncs, validating application health, and troubleshooting any post-migration issues in real-time. * Data Protection: Implement and manage backup/recovery workflows using Rubrik, ensuring data integrity before and after each migration batch. * Performance Tuning: Optimize storage performance (NVMe/SSD tiers) and compute allocation post-migration to ensure applications perform better than they did on-prem. ## Related Videos - [AWS Migration within 3 months](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/196-aws-migration-within-3-months) - [An Applied Introduction to eBPF with Go](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1075-an-applied-introduction-to-ebpf-with-go) - [Back(end) to the Future: Embracing the continuous Evolution of Infrastructure and Code](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/440-back-end-to-the-future-embracing-the-continuous-evolution-of-infrastructure-and-code) - [Developer Tools for Microsoft Azure](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/450-developer-tools-for-microsoft-azure) - [Turning Container security up to 11 with Capabilities](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/718-turning-container-security-up-to-11-with-capabilities) - [Debunking the Top 10 Myths about Web 3](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/634-debunking-the-top-10-myths-about-web-3) ## Related Articles - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [The Best Job Search Websites of 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/368-the-best-job-search-websites-of-2025) - [Mastering Remote Work: Tips for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/558-mastering-remote-work-tips-for-developers) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Finding Jobs in Germany](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/375-finding-jobs-in-germany)
