 * Experience with containerized storage solutions (Docker volumes, Kubernetes persistent volumes).
 * Knowledge of cloud and cloud storage services (AWS S3).

Technical Skills

 * Performance monitoring.
 * Version control systems (Git).
 * Virtualization technologies (VMware).

## Description

Position Overview

Contract - 6 months

Seeking a mid-level Linux Systems Engineer to join a Storage Engineering team. This role focuses on platform integration, compliance testing, and process documentation to ensure a high-performance storage system (part of a new HPC environment) meets operational and security standards ahead of go-live.

Key Responsibilities

 * Platform Integration & Readiness
 + Integrate storage platforms with secure access, monitoring, and alerting systems.
 + Collaborate with datacenter, network, Linux, and security teams to ensure seamless system integration.
 + Liaise with the storage vendor to log and track defects, implementing remediations as required.
 * Compliance Testing & Evidence
 + Develop and execute test plans to benchmark and validate storage systems.
 + Document compliance evidence for internal audit.
 + Maintain testing frameworks and automate compliance monitoring.
 * Process Documentation
 + Create comprehensive technical documentation for storage procedures.
 + Develop standard operating procedures for storage administration tasks.

Required Qualifications

 * 3-5 years of Linux system administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
 * Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
 * Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Alertmanager, Victoria Metrics/Logs).

Preferred Qualifications

 * 2+ years' experience with enterprise storage technologies.
