Recruitment Consultant at TechShack London. Senior - Lead Backend Developer | Node, Typescript, MongoDB | Hybrid, up to £90k

We're looking for a highly experienced Backend Developer to join a fast-growing, ambitious start-up. This is a chance to design and build robust, scalable systems that power a product with real impact. You'll be working closely with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance APIs, manage databases, and implement cloud-based solutions, all while shaping the backend architecture from the ground up.

What you'll be responsible for

 * Architect, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
 * Develop scalable, high-performance APIs with Nest.js and Express.js
 * Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases with Prisma
 * Implement REST and GraphQL endpoints and support real-time communication via WebSockets
 * Apply security best practices for authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, etc.)
 * Integrate caching and messaging using Redis (Pub/Sub)
 * Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes
 * Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines
 * Deploy and maintain applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including storage solutions like S3
