## About the Role

* 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
 * 4+ years experience in a network focused hands-on technical role working with IP routing protocols/technologies and platforms in large scale data center and/or WAN network environments
 * 4+ years experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP network and/or networking systems

Preferred Qualifications

 * Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load Balancing, and Network Security architecture and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, Server Load Balancers, Firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, LDAP, NFS, etc.
 * Experience with one or more of the following routers, server load balancer, and firewall vendor platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, Arista, Brocade, Extreme, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.

* Identifying, developing, and delivering technical solutions that improve the availability of our network technologies.
 * Partner with peer teams to collectively grasp the customer problems and find technological solutions utilizing wired networking technologies.
 * Define and meter the availability of our existing and future network solutions, ensuring they meet or exceed the needs of our customers.
 * Identify and deliver solutions that reduce operational impact to customers and enable them with scalable, resilient, and cost optimized services.
 * Dive Deep on complex problems that identify root causes of our customer impacts, developing and delivering corrective actions.
 * Innovate and automate infrastructure testing, deployment, operations, and life-cycle management
 * Defining the strategy for future team processes, tools, and , which improve how we maintain and manage them effectively, efficiently, and safely.
 * Be a part of Global organization that provides 24x7 escalation service on shift rotation basis. Some night and weekend coverage may be required.
 * Effectively contribute to hiring and developing top talent at Amazon
