Understanding of APIs, databases, SQL, testing, and software development fundamentals. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and ownership. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Java and/or Scala applications. Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms. Experience with application logs, monitoring, or observability tools. Calm, clear collaboration during production issues. ## Description We are looking for a Software Engineer I to join the Engineering Services team. This role focuses on investigating and resolving customer-impacting software issues in close partnership with Services, Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Cloud Operations. The team also turns recurring production patterns into stability improvements and contributes to Product-requested feature packs based on priorities and available capacity. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can use AI-assisted engineering tools effectively for investigation, development, testing, and documentation while applying sound engineering judgment to validate the results. Responsibilities Investigate and troubleshoot customer-reported and production issues. Analyze logs, application behavior, APIs, data, and system errors to identify root causes. Reproduce issues and develop appropriate fixes, workarounds, scripts, or automation. Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate debugging, implementation, testing, and documentation. Review and validate AI-generated solutions for correctness, security, maintainability, and performance. Collaborate with Services, Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Cloud Operations to drive issues to resolution. Document technical findings, root causes, and resolutions clearly. Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement activities.Identify recurring production patterns and contribute stability-focused enhancements that eliminate repeat issues. Contribute to Product-requested feature packs based on business priority and team capacity.
