Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # NEC Core Systems SME/Application Architect - **Company:** Lucid Inc. - **Location:** United States - **Contract:** Temporary to permanent - **Skills:** Applications Architecture, System Configuration, Integrated Communications Access Packages - **Published:** August 26, 2026 - **Apply:** https://computerjobs.com/us/en/mob/job/020478CEE624E0C9A4 ## About the Role * NEC ControlWorks - Command & Control * NEC DSx - Integrated Communications Control System * NEC UNIFI - Crime & Intelligence/Records Management System Nice to have: * TotalMobile GRS - particularly knowledge of duties/rostering, interfaces and application dependencies, * Hands-on experience supporting, configuring or architecting NEC ControlWorks, DSx and/or UNIFI. * Strong understanding of NEC application architecture, configuration, interfaces and dependencies. * Experience within a policing, secure government or Defence environment. * Senior-level Application Support, Application Architecture or Solution Architecture experience. * Experience assessing applications prior to support/service transition. * Understanding of application support models, operational documentation, licensing and vendor dependencies. * Ability to identify operational and service risks within business-critical environments. * Confidence working with technical stakeholders, incumbent suppliers and software vendors. * Ability to quickly understand an existing environment and produce concise, practical recommendations. ## Description * We are looking for a highly experienced NEC Core Systems SME to support an initial assessment of a secure, business-critical application estate. * This is a specialist requirement for someone with genuine hands-on experience of NEC policing systems, who can assess the current application landscape and provide practical advice around support requirements, transition risks, dependencies and operational readiness. * The initial engagement will involve supporting a small number of workshops and completing an application-by-application assessment.
